The Sorrell Legacy
Terms of Use
Last updated: 4 August 2026
These Terms of Use apply when you visit The Sorrell Legacy website. By continuing to use the website, you agree to use it lawfully and in accordance with these terms.
1. Website owner
The website is owned and operated by Jeremy J. Mills, an independent author based in the United Kingdom. Questions may be sent to jeremyjmillsauthor@gmail.com.
2. Information about the books
The website provides general information about Jeremy, The Sorrell Legacy series, related releases, events and reader news. Jeremy aims to keep the content accurate, but publication dates, editions, prices and availability may change. Retailer information at the point of purchase takes precedence.
Nothing on this website is professional, financial, legal or historical advice. Fictional content and promotional extracts should be understood in the context in which they are presented.
3. Buying from retailers
Book-purchase buttons may link to third-party retailers such as Amazon. Any purchase is made directly with that retailer and is governed by its price, delivery, returns, privacy and other terms. Jeremy does not process the retailer’s checkout or payment information through this website.
A retailer link will be identified where it is an affiliate link and may generate a commission. A normal external retailer link does not by itself mean that Jeremy receives an affiliate payment.
4. Copyright and permitted use
Unless stated otherwise, the website’s writing, book material, branding, artwork, photographs and design are owned by or licensed to Jeremy J. Mills and are protected by intellectual-property law.
You may view the website and share ordinary links for personal, non-commercial use. You must not reproduce substantial content, publish book extracts, remove ownership notices, scrape the website at scale, train a commercial model on protected content, or use the material commercially without prior written permission. Brief quotation for genuine review, criticism or another use permitted by law is not restricted by these terms.
5. Reader reviews and submissions
If you submit a review, you confirm that it reflects your honest opinion, is your own work and does not infringe another person’s rights. Do not submit unlawful, abusive, discriminatory, misleading, promotional or privacy-intrusive content.
You retain ownership of your words, but grant Jeremy a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to review, edit for spelling or length without changing the meaning, publish and display the submission in connection with the books and website. Reviews may be declined, delayed or removed at Jeremy’s reasonable discretion. You may request removal by email. Your email address is used for verification and is not displayed publicly.
6. Newsletter
The reader newsletter is optional. You must provide an address you control and complete any requested confirmation. You can unsubscribe using the link in an email or by contacting Jeremy. Delivery frequency and content may change, and a message cannot be guaranteed to reach every inbox.
7. Acceptable use and site security
You must not attempt to disrupt the website, bypass security, gain unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, automate abusive submissions, impersonate another person, or use the website in a way that violates applicable law. Access may be restricted where reasonably necessary to protect the website or others.
8. External links
Links to retailers, social networks and other third-party services are provided for convenience. Jeremy does not control their availability, content, security or privacy practices and does not endorse every statement on a linked service.
9. Availability and liability
The website is provided on an “as available” basis. Jeremy may correct, suspend, redesign or withdraw any part of it without notice. Although reasonable care is taken, uninterrupted access or freedom from every error or harmful component cannot be guaranteed.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jeremy is not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable loss arising from use of the website or reliance on its general content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Privacy, separate promotions and changes
Use of personal information is explained in the Privacy Policy and optional technologies in the Cookie Policy. A competition, giveaway, event or special promotion may have separate terms, which will take precedence for that activity.
These terms may be updated to reflect changes to the website or law. The latest date appears at the top of this page.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable consumer and civil-procedure law may hear disputes. Nothing here removes a mandatory right you have under the law of the country where you live.
